multi-tasking can be messy

'Watch my big brother or eat lunch?' Seriously, she tried doing both. We were doing ok, only a few drops of cereal on the bib (and I admit, her face... just a little!), until Ryne came roaring in the kitchen on his John Deere "chack-ter". Her head was on a swivel trying to watch her brother scoot around. She actually had cereal in her nose... poor girl.

It's May and my son has on long sleeves!!!

Not complaining, just enjoying the cool morning outside...

a four month blur

Doesn't it seem like time is flying by? When I was a kid a year was an eternity. Now it's a blur. Emma Kate is already four months old. She has been rolling over for a while now, playing in her exersaucer, eating cereal and will soon be changing her own diaper. Ha! It really does seem like everything is happening quicker than it did with Ryne. She wants to sit up so bad, I just want her to take her time. She loves watching Ryne and I have a feeling she will want to "grow up" fast so she can do the things that her big brother does.

She has recently discovered her feet. The other night I noticed some black fuzz by her mouth, but I had no clue what it was. When I started to bathe her I realized it was sock fuzz. She has trumpette socks that look like mary janes with different colored socks. Anytime she wears them the black (mary jane part) leaves fuzz in between her toes. Looks like she had been chewing on those feet again...

Absolute Faith

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24

This Mother's day was more than a sweet card, breakfast in bed, or a kiss "thank you". We dedicated our baby girl Sunday. Alan and I stood before more than 1400 people and said "we will" raise our child(ren) in a christian home. It was a sweet ceremony. Scripture was read for each child and our pastor said a prayer for all the families. Thankfully we were one of the last families to go up on stage because Ryne wasn't crazy about being still. So it was all over before IT could really begin...

My parents were here for the weekend so I got to spend time with my own amazing mother.
