his dad is going to kill me for this... but it's too funny

Ryne loves shoes... always has. Anytime he finds a pair unoccupied he tries them on. It doesn't matter who they belong to or what they look like. He puts them on and takes them for a test drive.

Today while I was in the nursery I heard whining coming from my bedroom. Not unusual for this season of my life. I knew exactly what was going on... frustration. My closet door was open, so Ryne had to be trying on a pair of shoes. Most likely Alan's because mine are ALWAYS in their box on the shelf. Anyway, He will get one on and then he's too far away to step into the other so he gets a little whiny (that's an understatement). I figured he would eventually give up and come out. As I step into the hallway I see him standing in the doorway of my bedroom. He is wearing pair of familiar shoes... they weren't Alan's. I could not believe it. Somewhere between the laughing and crying (that he would ruin them) I found time to grab the camera.

No, these chubby little legs aren't mine!

Notice the toes!!!

He didn't fall, he is actually checking out his new foot gear. I'm telling you the kid walked better in these shoes than some grown women do. Oh dear...

Note to self: Make sure high heels are put away!

working at the carwash

My car needed some serious cleaning... and who better to get the job done than these BOYS.
By the end of it all Ryne was soaked from head to toe so the clothes had to come off... oh dear. He sloshed around in the shoes and socks a little longer.

easter

Ryne My Dad had a great time hunting eggs this year. I am not really sure what Ryne thought about it all. There was a total of 380 eggs and only 10 kids hunting them! We actually ran out of places to hide the eggs. When the kids came out to hunt it looked like the yard had been sprinkled with pastel confetti. Ryne found 44 eggs. I don't know how other families do it, but my family goes a little over the top with the prize eggs. Some eggs have candy, some have money, and others have prize claim tickets (slips of paper with a name or number on them). Oh yeah, and then there are those antique hard boiled eggs scattered about as well. Ryne brought home a bowl full of candy, two prizes and $3.00 in change. He left his "real" eggs with Uncle Tim to be pickled.
This little boy loves his caws, chucks, and chack-ters. For those of you who don't speak "two", that's cars, trucks and tractors.
One of his prizes was this set of bunny ears. Of course, I had to take a picture. Kind of reminded me of poor Ralphie on the Christmas Story. No Alan, I will not put them on him again! Note: He did NOT eat that egg.

Sweet Emma Kate enjoyed napping on her Grandmother.
