easy like sunday morning...

i love this kid...

five months

Emma Kate... still wakes up smiling.

There is nothing better than seeing a big gummy grin at the beginning of the day. It doesn't take much to get a smile from her, just a simple "hello" will do. Ryne loves to make her laugh and squeal. Sometimes when she is in her swing he will run up and give her a quick push and then run away. It's really sweet hearing the two of them laughing at each other.

She is rolling all over the place now. I have to watch her when she is on the floor. She doesn't stay in one place too long... looks like the gates will be up again before we know it - ugh. I also have to watch Ryne. He likes to jump over her while she is just laying there!

She isn't sitting up on her own yet. So for now we will continue to enjoy the "blob" stage.

afternoon in the pool

Ryne enjoyed the afternoon in the pool. He played out there for over an hour. Note: I was either out there with him or sitting in the doorway... my husband actually asked me this!

For about the first thirty minutes he wouldn't sit down. He splashed the wall, the deck and ME! I was soaked along with everything else. Emma Kate enjoyed watching her brother, who not only makes big splashes, but also big noises. He yelled about nothing for most of the time he was out there. He was having a great time.

Don't you just love his Lighting McQueen & Mater pants? Ok, they are really swim trunks, but good night they are L-O-N-G. He loves the movie. We watch it at least once a day, sometimes MORE. His favorite part... the tractors. I actually had to turn the movie on to get him to come inside.

Thanks Ms. April for the pool! Come over anytime for a dip. ;) We miss you already!
