emma kate's first ride...

Last Saturday we turned Emma Kate's carseat around.
She road facing forward for the first time as we headed to meet some friends for dinner.

She looked a little bewildered at first...

We enjoyed dinner outside at The Depot and then took the kids to a nearby park to run off some energy. After all the excitement E.K. feel asleep on the way home.

Here are a few snapshots from Emma Kate's first birthday (0n 1/9/10). There was a BBQ lunch, strawberry cupcakes, girly gifts and our dear family, including April was in attendance. Emma Kate (and Ryne) loves her new stroller and shopping cart. They don't put anything in them... just push them around and fight over who is pushing what. Oh dear. Sometimes I find E.K. sitting in the doll stroller. I wonder if 17 lbs is too much weight for that thing...

We also (sort of) celebrated Uncle D's and my (30th... let's not talk about it) birthday, both are in January.
