him
No longer a baby... or toddler really. Just a little boy. Running around the house with a plastic sword. Wearing his superhero cape. Going to college basketball games with his daddy... NO GIRLS ALLOWED. Putting his hand over his heart for the national anthem. Eating popcorn. Protecting his little sister from "bullies" on the playground at Chick.fil.A. Saying things like, "I requested ice in my water!". Spelling his name. He's even trying to write it and doing pretty good. Asking what letter certain words start with. Riding his bike way too fast down the driveway. Riding on the shopping cart like a "fireman". Says he is going to play for the Cubs when he grows up, but I guess that's after he is "number 22 for Alabama". His favorite colors are green and pink(???). He is already registered for 4k at our church.
Wishing I could keep him this little... longer.

terribly two
Emma Kate turned 2 on January 8th
She's...
a little over 24 lbs and
stands 31" tall
talks... A LOT
loves to sing
and read
her favorite books are the Llama Llama books
her favorite show is Wow Wow Wubbzy
would rather color with markers... because we all know crayons won't write on skin like markers do
wants to be tickled
can't sleep without her friends; lovie, dollie and blankie
surprisingly gave up her beloved paci without much fuss
loves to take a bath... really, she will start to undress if she hears the word
would run around naked if I would let her...
and wear only shoes
is a SCREAMER
but has the sweetest little voice
says "what's that all about?" often
plays hide and seek with her brother
requests french toast sticks almost every morning
and likes to go to McDonald's to get the toy in the happy meal
can't quite reach the pedals her brother's old trike, but rides it anyways
now sleeps in her (converted crib) toddler bed
hates wearing diapers
stalls with excuses like, "my nose is running", at bedtime
did I mention she's a screamer
loves for her daddy to flip her
her brother to chase her,
but is definitely a mommy's girl.
